Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to the
international market. The Company has interests in four producing mines: three in South Africa (Finsch, Cullinan and Koffiefontein)
and one in Tanzania (Williamson). It also maintains an exploration programme in Botswana.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible to manage Petra Group Project Cost information and analysis function for the projects, in order
to meet the short/medium term and end objectives of the project and to provide the Project Managers with appropriate cost
management information and advice. The position will be based at Cullinan Group Offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement a cost and enterprise management system to manage and control capital projects
Participate in the project teams to progress projects through its different stages up to execution
Ensure value creation and evaluation of business proposals to optimize return on investment
Analyse, control and manage information of the projects’ work in progress against a Work Breakdown Structure
Design project cost reports for the project team and any other stakeholders
Do the analyses and interprets variance, budget and cost reports, in order to evaluate actual performance against plans and the
effects of external factors on cost
Evaluate current project-, and capital policies and procedures, amend if required and ensure compliance
Ensure adherence to legislative and corporate governance compliance requirements to manage risk and consequences on non-
compliance
Prepare and distribute project information as per agreed time lines
Review project expenditure and forecasts to ensure alignment with business strategy
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
B.Com Degree Accounting OR B Tech Degree Cost Management Accounting OR CIMA qualification
Accounting / Management Accounting systems experience (e.g. AccPac and Essbase)
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Project environment
One (1) year Supervisory level experience – an advantage
Proven computer literacy in MS Office – Excel essential
Valid driver’s license
