GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
ROADS DIRECTORATE has secured funding to complement the on-going graduate internship programmes which are aimed at giving experience and skills development for graduates who have completed their tertiary education but are not yet employed due to some requiremnents which they often lack, as specified on the job advertisement. The Directorate intends to offer opportunities to prospective candidates who will be selected through normal competitive interview procesesses as the employers believe and budget for internships is limited to support the programme. Roads Directorate just like other employers believe that some degree of knowledge of work goes a long way in terms of producing the required quality in the finished work product. As such, an intake in the intended internship is poised to run for the period of two years. We believe that a reasonable level of knowledge and experience will have been imparted to the candidates and thus become market ready
for employment prospects when their internship period lapses. The Directorate invites applications for internships in the following underlisted categories:
Field of study/ Educational Qualification
1. Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering / Bachelors of Engineering -Civil Engineering ×8
2. Bachelors of Technology- Civil Engineering with majors in Transport/traffic Engineering, Highway/geometric Engineering, Geotechnical/civil
Engineering Materials, Structural Engineering/concrete technology ×4
3. Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering/Bachelor of Engineering Electrical Engineering ×2
4. Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying ×1
5. Bachelor of Technology in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management ×1
Interested candidates with no experience and/or 1 year experience are to submit the application letter with the following documents: Certified copies of Educational Certificates and Transcripts, and personal Identity, condidicurum vitae maybe attached for further information about the applying candidate.
