Footwear designers from around the world are invited to submit their best work for a chance to be recognized as one of the top designers in the industry.
The GFA Design of the Year winner will receive the GFA Awards trophy, a badge of achievement, considerable publicity and promotion, coverage, critical acclaim, and much more.
The Global Footwear Awards offer a unique opportunity for designers to showcase their talent and gain exposure to industry professionals and potential clients.
Across four categories and over twenty-eight subcategories, the Brand Design of the Year Award and the Independent Designer of the Year Award seeks talented professional footwear designers whose work elevates the shoe industry, either with an innovative design or a new sustainable approach.
Students and young designers are encouraged to apply to GFA’s Emerging Designer of the Year Award, which uses the same category and subcategory titles as the professional award.
Over the past three editions, the GFA has received hundreds of submissions from designers in more than 50 countries. The winners have gone on to achieve great success in the industry, with many being featured in major publications and securing partnerships with leading brands.
The Global Footwear Awards are a part of the 3C Awards, a Swiss-based organization that curates, recognizes, and supports talented designers across multiple disciplines.
Global Footwear Awards (GFA) 2023 – Submission Fees
The submission fees are based on Brands, Independent, and Student levels.
- Company/Brand: from CHF 100 incl. VAT (approx: US$112)
Same entry in additional categories at a 50% discount - Independent Designer: CHF 55 incl. VAT (approx: US$60)
Same entry in additional categories at a 50% discount - Student: CHF 35 incl. VAT (approx: US$40)
Entries before 30th June 2023 will receive an early submission discount of 20%.
