Position Details

  • Location: Remote (open globally)

  • Type: Independent Contractor
  • Duration: 1 June – 31 December 2026 (7 months)
  • Time Zones: Flexible (with scheduled global coordination calls)
  • Compensation: USD $3,500 – $5,000 per month

About the Role

The Global Artivism Month Specialist will lead the coordination and delivery of Global Artivism Month, a major global campaign scheduled for October or November 2026.

The role focuses on:

  • Programme coordination
  • Partner engagement across regions
  • Toolkit development
  • Campaign delivery and reporting

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning and Coordination
  • Develop and manage the full campaign workplan and timeline
  • Coordinate internal teams and align workstreams
  • Identify risks and resolve challenges early
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation
  • Track and report campaign progress
Partner and Community Mobilisation
  • Engage global partners, networks, and communities
  • Coordinate regional participation and collaboration
  • Facilitate Steering Committee engagement
  • Develop onboarding materials and campaign kits
  • Maintain consistent communication with partners
Toolkit Development
  • Lead creation of the Artivism practice toolkit
  • Coordinate contributors and content production
  • Ensure representation of diverse Global South perspectives
  • Collaborate with communications teams on design and distribution
Documentation and Reporting
  • Document campaign progress and outcomes
  • Produce post‑campaign analysis report
  • Support grant and impact reporting
  • Ensure structured handover of materials

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing campaigns or complex programmes in multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Strong project management skills (planning, tracking, delivery)
  • Experience mobilising communities and partners
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp)
  • Commitment to Global Artivism values and mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in arts, cultural activism, or social justice campaigns
  • Familiarity with Global South communities and networks
  • Experience developing toolkits or distributed resources
  • Experience working with global, cross‑regional teams
  • Multilingual ability (strongly valued)

Work Arrangement

  • Contractor sets own schedule and working style
  • Must participate in scheduled meetings across time zones
  • Responsible for own taxes, insurance, and compliance in country of residence
  • May work with other clients during contract period
