Course Description
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is organizing the second Global Access Training course in Turin, Italy. This residential training course will be held from 30 June to 5 July 2024 at the United Nations System Staff College, Turin Campus. The training will convene mid-level humanitarian practitioners from OCHA, UN agencies and non-governmental humanitarian organizations.
The objectives of this training course are to:
- provide participants with a practical understanding of core humanitarian access concepts and principles;
- develop skills essential to conduct access coordination, advocacy, information management, and negotiations, including familiarization with relevant tools; and
- promote the exchange of lessons learned and assessments of the current humanitarian access environment.
Who Should Apply
The Global Access Training targets mid-level humanitarian practitioners from OCHA, UN agencies and non-governmental humanitarian organizations.
Fee Information
OCHA will cover the costs for the course fees, accommodation and meals from the evening of 30 June until the morning of 5 July 2024. Participants are kindly asked to cover travel, visa requirements and applicable daily allowances.

Interested applicants must complete the online application form before 18 April 2024 at 11.59 p.m. GMT. If applicable, applicants should ensure that they have discussed their participation with their supervisor and received his/her agreement, prior to applying.
