About the Opportunity
Kairos is looking for a Generalist to join its new Special Projects team and help launch and operate time-sensitive projects within the AI safety ecosystem.
The successful candidate will work across different projects, taking responsibility for whatever is needed to move initiatives from an early idea to a functioning programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Help launch and develop new projects.
- Build systems supporting applications, communications and project operations.
- Support pilots and emerging programmes.
- Work across Kairos programmes and projects as required.
- Build relationships across the AI safety ecosystem.
- Take ownership of projects and identify what needs to be done.
Requirements
- Ability to work across different functions and learn new areas quickly.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in early-stage environments with limited structure.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the AI safety ecosystem.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
Compensation
$105,000–$145,000 per year as a baseline, with higher ranges for supported hubs and the San Francisco Bay Area, depending on experience and location.
Who Can Apply
The role is remote and is open to candidates internationally. Kairos notes that applicants should be able to work with its distributed team and preferably accommodate meetings in the Eastern Time zone. The position also involves work-related travel, predominantly to the US.
