GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (GPN)

This General Procurement Notice (GPN) is issued in accordance with the 1st edition of the standard IFAD General Procurement Notice available at www.ifad.org/project-procurement, for use in projects financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). IFAD does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or translation of this notice.


Financing Information

The Regeneration of Landscapes and Livelihoods project has received financing from IFAD and intends to apply part of the funds toward payments for goods, works, and services during the procurement period April 2026 – March 2027.

Procurement Programme (April 2026 – March 2027)

A. Procurement of Consulting Services

  • Development of carbon legal frameworks in Lesotho
  • External training on earth dam designs (AutoCAD) and enterprise licence to support design of reinforced concrete (RC) ponds

B. Procurement of Goods

  • GRM awareness and disclosure materials
  • Replacement and purchase of laptops and computers
  • Materials for drinking points
  • Materials for RC water tanks
  • Procurement of a log loader
  • Supply and delivery of potted fruit trees
  • Food processing equipment (canning fruits)
  • Gardening tools
  • Event tent
  • Fingerlings (Sekokoaneng, Qacha’s Nek)
  • Water quality kit for one (1) pond
  • Fish feeds
  • Field crop inputs for vulnerable households
  • Inputs for vegetable production
  • Apiculture tools and materials for vulnerable households
  • Bulls
  • Piggery and piggery production inputs
  • Fodder production inputs and marginal land rehabilitation
  • Broiler chickens
  • Sewing machine overlocker with embroidery
  • NRM-based project signage package
  • Portable TV screen for project videos
  • Support for National Environmental Day commemorations
  • Dual-purpose chickens
  • Food processing equipment (dryers)

C. Procurement of Works

  • Maintenance and construction of potable water systems (Butha-Buthe)
  • Maintenance and construction of potable water systems (Qacha’s Nek)
  • Construction of one (1) fishpond in Sekokoaneng, Qacha’s Nek

Procurement Procedures

All contracts for goods, works, and services will be implemented in accordance with:

  • IFAD Project Procurement Guidelines, and
  • IFAD Procurement Handbook (current versions)

Specific procurement notices for competitive bidding will be published as they become available through appropriate portals, local newspapers, and other media.
