The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) was established by an Act of Parliament as a parastatal. The LNDC Act No. 20 of 1967, as amended by LNDC Act No. 13 of 1990 and LNDC Act No. 7 of 2000, mandates the Corporation to: “initiate, promote and facilitate the development of manufacturing and processing industries, mining and commerce in a manner calculated to raise the level of income and employment in Lesotho.”
LNDC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position of General Manager – Property Development Management
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies, negotiating, and enforcing leases, and maintaining and securing premises.
- Establishes rental rates by surveying local rental rates and calculating overhead costs, depreciation, taxes, and profit goals.
- Attracts tenants by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals from current tenants, explaining advantages of location and services, and showing units.
- Contracts with tenants by negotiating leases and collecting security deposit.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills, forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
- Maintains property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units and completing repairs, planning renovations.
- Maintains building systems by contracting for maintenance services and supervising repairs.
- Secures property by contracting with security patrol service, installing, and maintaining security devices, establishing and enforcing precautionary policies and procedures, and responding to emergencies.
- Enforces occupancy policies and procedures by confronting violators.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Oversight and reporting on construction and maintenance projects.
- Develop and review operational policies and procedures.
- Contribute to defining the business strategy, priorities and initial activities of the Property Development and Management in line with the LNDC Strategic Plan.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum postgraduate degree in Real Estate Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management. A minimum of 10 years relevant experience is required, at least 5 of which should be in a managerial role.
Term of contract
The two positions are on a three (3) year fixed-term contract, renewable based on performance.
