Job title: General Manager – Luxury Lodge – Lesotho
Job description:
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a General Manager for a semi-remote luxury lodge in Lesotho. The lodge would like the candidate to bring up the standards of the lodge and are looking at a contract period of 12-24 months.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in tourism management is an advantage
- In depth knowledge of all lodge department’s required
- Must have at least 5-8 years’ experience in management of exclusive 4/5 Star boutique Hotel / Lodges
- Must have a lot of experience in budget preparation, forecasting and profit improvement strategies and managing of the lodge finances
- Completely computer literate
- Familiar with hotel POS systems
- Highly competant with financial reports and stock controls
- Experienced in dealing with daily operational challenges
- Thorough knowledge and supervision of staff management and hands on training especially with upskilling heads of departments (HOD)
- Must be a team player with strong leadership and organizational skills
- Help review and improve lodge management systems, standards, procedures and auditing to take the lodge to the next level
- Proficient in dealing with day to day business affairs
- Implement reporting structures to ensure that information is readily available, so that HOD staff can in turn report weekly and monthly to the Directors
