General Manager – Global Overview

Our employer clients have an increasingly global workforce, and we are meeting them where they are, to provide 1-on-1 financial advisors and personal finance tools. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to drive our international efforts. This role will report to the Head of Operations and lead the strategy and execution of our global service. This role will be highly cross-functional ensuring everything from hiring to legal to marketing to financial advice is executed and is at parity with our US offerings. You will develop the playbook to help us launch 20+ countries by the end of 2022. This is a unique opportunity to own one of the largest initiatives we’ve undertaken with massive impacts on the future of Northstar. This position can be performed almost anywhere in the world.

What you’ll do:

• Drive Northstar’s global strategy & execution, defining business requirements
• Set performance objectives and KPIs for the global business
• Act as lead for developing timelines for rollout to existing and new clients
• Own the P&L for the Northstar global business
• Establish core processes and systems to scale in multiple countries
• Dig into legal, compliance, and other initiatives related to your work
• Work cross-functionally across all departments to ensure parity to our US service
• Oversee a global team of Financial Advisors, with support from our US-based Financial Planning team
• Oversee the hiring strategy for expansion

Who you are:

• You can think strategically at the highest level while simultaneously managing and executing the day-to-day
• You have demonstrated success scaling a fast-growing tech company internationally
• You have demonstrated data-driven leadership at scale to identify new market opportunities, create strategic plans, and deliver results
• You have hands-on experience launching new markets and operating in a high-growth global market context
• You have a background in business operations, global strategy or operations, technology, consulting, or related experience
• You have worked within a fast-paced early-stage startup environment and can function independently
• You have Excel experience and are able to perform complex functions and modeling, SQL experience is a plus
• You have a talent for managing complex projects, driving high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing processes
