KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards
- Entrenching the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental Management Program
- Develop and manage the operational budget
- Set maintenance standards in line with production targets
- Develop and maintenance business relationship with stakeholders
- Managing contractors
- Provide technical support to subordinates (Electrical, Mechanical, Boilermaking, Instrumentation and Rigging)
- Performance management of subordinates
- Implement and manage systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted production
- Investigate accidents and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are implemented at all operations to proactively reduce risk
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure timeous and relevant reaction to anomalies
- Ensure projects are properly assessed and executed and capital effectively managed
- Drive optimisation in areas of availability, reliability, operability and cost control
- Assist to create and revise standards
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works) will be advantageous
- Driver’s License (Code B)
- 5 years’ experience in an Engineering Supervisory position in Mining and/or Process Industry
- Strong technical, communication, planning and organization skills
- Asset Management Experience with emphasis on planned maintenance, defect elimination, work management and materials management.
