About the assignment
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide the technical expertise on gender responsive budgeting, to lead on the development of this study, and to provide an initial briefing or training session for Government of Mauritius staff.
The successful consultant will have a post graduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years of experience in providing gender budget analysis and/or economic advice. You will have a proven track record in providing advice and expertise to governments and decision makers on such matters. You will also have proven track record in research in the field of gender and economics (specific work on GRB and or financing for development will be an added advantage). In addition to this, the successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of qualitative research methods and excellent analytical skills and competency in written English language.
