Description of the Assignment: Gender Mainstreaming and Safeguard Consultant – Individual Consultant
Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 90 Days spread within 5 months
UNDP Lesotho, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, seeks a consultant to support gender integration in the conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plants. The consultant will develop and implement a Gender Strategy and Action Plan, facilitate empowerment workshops, and guide inclusive benefit-sharing frameworks under the Nagoya Protocol.
Duration: 90 working days over 5 months (August–December 2025)
Requirements:
Master’s in Gender Studies, Social Development, Environmental Studies, or related field + 7 years’ experience in gender mainstreaming, biodiversity, and community-based development.
Deadline: 12 August 2025
Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
