Title: GCC & Many Voices data clerk
Reports to: M & E Manager & Mental Health Manager
Purpose of the job: Implement all protocols, policies, and procedures under GCC and Many Voices grants. This includes
timely reporting, data verification, consolidation and analysis using but is not limited to: DHIS2, Microsoft applications
(especially Excel, Commcare and other specialized data management, reporting and visualization applications. This
also includes supervision of all sites implementing GCC and Many Voices grants at different implementing areas such
as RI, MDR-TB & Berea hospital respectfully.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure availability of mental health registers, forms and monthly reports to ease data collection
Train newly recruited nurses and other staff on the new registers and forms for MH
Train data collectors to capture data using Commcare and retrieve it for visualization in the DHIS2
To supervise the staff implementing GCC and Many Voices grants at RI, MDR-TB and Berea hospital
To design dashboard for GCC KPIs and review of Many Voices dashboard for updates
Coordinate monthly reports capturing using available soft wares (DHIS2, Commcare & Excel)
Verify and aggregate all the MH reports before submission to the M & E manager and mental health manager
To be able to set institutional targets for GCC and Many Voices key performance indicators
To come up with strategies to improve implementation for the set targets for achievements of both projects
Be able to analyze data using soft wares that are currently in use (DHIS2, Commcare & Excel)
Give data feedback to GCC and Many Voices teams at the implementing sites to improve performance
Ability to produce reports for both GCC and many Voices on monthly and quarterly basis
Ability to report on the achievements, challenges and a way forward for GCC & MV
Assist M & E office with other activities from time to time
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Information management or any related field,
Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
• At least two years’ experience in health information system, data management, studies or researches or Health
sector.
• Good communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally within culturally diverse settings
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
