Job Description

To train in various aspects of the Group with a view to exposure to the business

Are you someone who can

  • Achieve sales targets in line with performance scorecards and achieve an acceptable cost of sales ratio.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales revenue and to grow the organisational client base while containing costs
  • Ensure fulfilment of the sales processes until client is fully on-boarded into the correct service model.
  • Ensure increasing number of clients by selling the full respective value proposition (bundle products) and ensure clients are registered on digital and other self-service options. Identify and correct sales process problems and escalate where necessary.
  • Continuously improve sales processes, maintain specialised knowledge on all FNB Lesotho’s approved products, application procedure, fulfilment processes and timelines to drive and achieve relevant sales targets, maximise cross-selling opportunities. Record and transmit ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ orders and calculate and record the cost of transactions.
  • Develop lists of appropriate investments for clients and carefully plan to buy and selling activities.
  • Buy and sell products on behalf of clients, take instructions, place orders and advise clients of market developments and new financial ideas. Make decisions on the products to buy and sell, using judgement on how the markets are likely to move, keeping up to date with financial and political news across the world, which can affect prices.
  • Share information with clients and colleagues. Inform new clients on FNB Lesotho’s capabilities and how the desk can help them, develop bespoke proposals, including hedging solutions depending on client sophistication and their size of facility with the bank, determine margin, match appropriate client events to specific clients and attend the events with them.
  • Analyse daily market movement to understand short, medium and long-term trends and to be able to anticipate and engage with clients on their specific needs, provide daily commentary on market movements, provide feedback on client volumes and activity.
  • Development and participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively shared, build and sustain collaborative working relationships with relevant peers and stakeholders to achieve productivity synergies, participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement.

You will be an ideal candidate if you

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree / Postgraduate Diploma / Advanced Diploma
  • Have a Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce Degree, ACI Dealing Certificate.
  • Have a CFA (it will be an added advantage).
  • Have 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
