Fundraising Volunteer for Gender Justice Program (f/m/d) – Remote, approx. 4 hrs/week
About EmpowerVan
EmpowerVan is a grassroots organization working to empower displaced women and through self-defense training, enabling them to live autonomous and free from violence.
We currently run programs in refugee camps and shelters for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers in Greece. With our mobile approach – a fully equipped van – we bring self-defense and empowerment programs directly to the people who need them most.
We plan to expand this holistic approach to Switzerland and Kenya and are seeking dedicated support to make this growth possible.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a motivated Fundraising Volunteer to support our fundraising and partnership development. This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute their skills and creativity to strengthen a growing organization in the humanitarian sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities and maintain an overview of potential donors
- Draft and edit grant proposals and funding applications
- Support donor acquisition campaigns and outreach activities
- Contribute to the development of sustainable partnerships to enable new projects
- Generate and implement creative fundraising ideas
Requirements
- Strong commitment to our vision of a world free from gender-based violence
- Motivation to empower women* and girls* on the move
- Creativity, initiative, and strong communication skills
- Excellent writing skills in German; English proficiency is an asset
- Availability of approx. 4 hours per week on a voluntary basis
- Previous experience in fundraising, communications, or project management is an advantage, but not required
