Job Description
Carlabs is located in Los Angeles, California. We are growing our development team and we are looking for a full-time offshore developer. Our regular office hours are from 9 am to 6 pm PST. We would prefer for you to be able to overlap an average of six hours per workday with our PST schedule. Since most of us only speak English, it is important that you understand and speak English very well.
CarLabs utilizes a number of different technologies ranging from Node.js to Python and C#. We’re starting to grow rapidly and are looking for an offshore developer that can help us continue to scale our reliable platform for building out new bots for upcoming clients. We’re a small team, so our developers wear many hats and operate in all parts of the stack, from data ingestion to backend/front end development, and ops. We’re looking for a developer that understands and takes ownership of the operation of their code.

About You
We are looking for developers who strive to find the right balance between code quality and getting the work done. You need to be self-sufficient, strong at communicating your thoughts, and willing to express your ideas for the betterment of the company.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with one or more of the following: Javascript, Python, C#.
- Experience with Angular Framework.
- Experience with a functional language is great (we strongly prefer people who can learn quickly and do quality work in multiple languages/paradigms).
- Experience with NLP or other areas of machine learning is a huge plus; a background in math, statistics, or engineering is good.
- Experience with OOP is also great.
- Experience with Relational and Non-Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, Neptune, Redis
- Experience in DevOps with Kubernetes is a big bonus
- Familiarity with UNIX-based command line.
