What you’ll do
You’ll work on the user interface of Adblock Plus (ABP) and will reach tens of millions of users with your work. Together with two other dedicated UI developers, you’ll contribute to an intuitive, consistent, and pleasant ABP experience. We work with modern web standards and with a minimal amount of helpers, whenever we find it’s appropriate.

Our desktop and mobile products, such as Adblock Plus, Adblock Browser and Flattr, help sustain and grow a fair, open web, because they give users control while providing user-friendly monetization. Our most popular product, Adblock Plus, is currently used on over 100 million devices.

To get your morning coffee, you’ll need…
- Experience with JavaScript (ideally vanilla JavaScript)
- Passion for web standards and working without frameworks or libraries
- Experience with UI development
- Ability to work independently and in a self-organized way
- Enthusiasm for actively contributing to discussions and freely sharing ideas and knowledge
- Fluent in English – both spoken and written
It’s great, but not required, if you know about…
- Web extension development
- Modern web technologies, such as Web Components, asynchronous JS paradigms, CSS variables, and accessible HTML5
Many of our developers work remotely and so can you. We’re happy to pay for a coworking space, or if you prefer, we can help you relocate closer to our offices in Cologne or Berlin.
