Well-established 5-Star beach resort on the northeast coast of Zanzibar Island in Tanzania. This 100-room resort has 5 x different room categories, 3 x restaurants, 2 x bars, Spa, fitness centre and daily activities on offer to an array of local East African and international tourist mainly from Europe.

=== Job Description ===

You will be working very closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager and General Manager to ensure that the brand image is maintained, continued and exceeded throughout the guests stay through the management and daily operations of the Front Office. This requires close relations and coordination with all the other departments and its managers within the operation to uphold the well reputed standards of the hotel. Managing a small team of 10 x staff members offering good leadership, continued training, improving and assisting to develop systems and procedures. Management of guest accounts and assisting the Accounts Department with payment follow-ups prior to arrival. Work closely with the Sales & Marketing manager and sometimes will need to oversee his/her duties in their absence while on business travel.


=== Job Requirements ===

A dynamic person and team player with proven and stable track record of minimum 2 years in a similar position in a hotel of equal size and 4/5 Star is essential. Contactable references required. Excellent team leader working alongside the front office team motivating and training them on a continued basis. Strong Guest Relations skills with a lot of patience to deal with sometimes difficult guests. Problem solver and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Conversant with a PMS (Property Management System), preferably Fidelio or Opera. No criminal record as you will need to provide a Police Clearance Certificate (at your own expense) from your local authorities before contract will be finalised. Preparedness to work long or after office hours. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English is a must. Your local authority police clearance certificate (with wet seal/stamp) and medical check-up report form your local medical practitioner (home or occupational doctor) will be required.


=== Qualifications ===

Minimum 3 x year diploma in Hospitality Management.


=== Package ===

Single person expatriate package.

2 x year contract with option to extend (inclusive of 3 x month probation period)

Single basic furnished apartment on site.

Daily meals in venues as specified by management.

Medical Insurance Plan.

1 x off per week after 6 x days duty completion as per operational demand. Local Public holidays off as per operational demand.

Flight ticket from current residence’s major city to Zanzibar.

28 x days paid annual leave (after 1 x year duty completion) and return-flight ticket to a major city closest to place of recruitment (home).

Visa and resident permits arranged by company.

Local social security fund contributions withdrawable at end of employment.

NET salary in USD negotiable depending on experience.
