Our proprietary platform allows automotive brands to create intelligent conversational agents that can scale from one vehicle to many instantly. The virtual agents have the intelligence to answer questions without a human having to write it first. Our clients are car manufacturers and dealers.

Job Description

We are looking for a Front-End Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Our team needs an FE expert to help make sure our standards are upheld and we produce the best and most usable product possible. This role is within our development team running Agile/SCRUM setup on sprints. Initially this role will be guided to overhaul our UI to meet standards set by Product. Thereafter the role will be to contribute as a part of the team with more weight placed on FE building on the respective tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new user-facing features within our Angular framework SPA
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Have an opinion on technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Be comfortable helping in some back end projects in NodeJS or Python
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Work with product management to best define FE requirements and best practices
  • Steward the CarLabs UI/UX paradigm

Skills And Qualifications

  • 3+ years of FE development experience
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, NodeJS
  • Willingness to learn other languages and support Python, graphql
  • Expert understanding of Angular. React, and other FE frameworks are positive as well
  • Proficiency in CSS and SCSS and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and RXJS
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Working knowledge of design patterns, design frameworks, and have used design tooling (e.g., Figma) in previous roles
  • Experience developing for SaaS companies
  • Experience co-developing UI/UX as needed to define best practices for a product and development team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci or similar – or equivalent work experience
