The school runs from Reception to Grade 12 (R-12) has a roll of over 300 students in the Primary Section (Reception -Grade 7) and over 200 students in the Secondary Section (Grade 8-12). The students come from varying socio economic and multicultural backgrounds. In the light of the above, NULIS students sit National (JC) and International Examinations, Cambridge Checkpoint 1 at Grade 6 and 7, Checkpoint 2 at Grade 9 and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) at Grade 12. NULIS has restructured its curriculum to suit Cambridge demands, and is in the process of introducing Advanced Subsidiary (AS) in 2019. The successful candidate will be required to teach from Grade 4 to 12 and will be expected to participate fully in extracurricular activities.
1.0 QUALIFICATION AND SPECIALIZATION
Minimum qualification: A Degree in Education or equivalent with specialization in French and Literature in English. Prospective candidates who have enrolled or hold a Master’s Degree have an added advantage. A candidate should have a teaching experience of 5 years in an International School, must have taught IGCSE Curriculum for a minimum of 5 years and have attended Cambridge training workshops for both IGCSE and AS.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To teach French and Literature in English from Grade 4 to Grade
- Ability to conduct extra-curricular activities i.e. clubs, sports and
games.
- Must participate in all school activities and functions.
3.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non-Locals.
