Guidelines International Ministries is a Christian nonprofit that creates and distributes devotional content around the world. Your role on our team will be to help develop these devotionals in various forms of media, along with telling the stories of impact to our supporters.
Work Requirements
As Guidelines is a Christian organization and much of our work involves Biblical content, applicants must be professing Christians. You must have your own computer, access to high speed internet, and access to any software required for the position.
Work Environment
We are a small staff of under 10 people based in Mission Viejo, California. However, your role will be remote so you can be located anywhere. Work can be done on your own time, as long as you meet deadlines for projects. You will be expected to join a group video chat once a month. We communicate using Slack, and you will need to be able to respond to messages within a day during weekdays.
Summary
You will be responsible for adding photos/videos/graphics, writing captions, and scheduling posts to Instagram & Facebook via a social media scheduling platform.
Specific Tasks
- Curate images, write captions and schedule to Instagram (~12 per month)
- Schedule graphics to Facebook and write captions (~12 per month)
- Find website posts, add stock images, write captions, and schedule to Facebook (4 per month)
Requirements
- Experience writing engaging captions for social media
- Experience managing Instagram or Facebook for a brand
- Familiarity with social media scheduling platforms
- Basic experience in WordPress
- Some graphic design experience preferred, but not required (such as Canva)
