The Araca Group, a company that provides end-to-end eCommerce solutions for the entertainment industry, is looking for a Freelance Copywriter to assist in driving revenue growth by writing new product descriptions and re-writing existing descriptions. The Freelance Copywriter will work closely with our Merchandising team, which will provide photos and basic facts about each product. You can live anywhere in the US as this is a “work-from-home” position. If you’re in the New York area, you can work from our office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include writing and updating product descriptions for t-shirts, collectibles, phone cases, books, movies, and other gifts that we sell in our online shops. Excellent writing skills and the ability to work quickly are a must. This is an opportunity to have fun producing a steady stream of creative and helpful product descriptions in exchange for some extra spending money, while you’re working on your own longer-form writing projects or attending school. Knowledge of and passion for Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, DC Comics, Cartoon Network, The Walking Dead, Outlander, and similar brands is a must.
We anticipate 10-20 hours of writing per week. You can work from your home or dorm anywhere in the USA. REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent writing skills with full mastery of English grammar. We hope to do minimal editing of these descriptions.
- Ability to write with a touch of humor, while not overwhelming descriptions with cuteness; facts matter to our customers.
- Ability to write quickly. No writer’s block here, please. We’re looking for someone who can get in a zone and crank out some great product descriptions.
- Knowledge of and passion for entertainment brands is a must. You need to be BFFs with Luna Lovegood, Beemo, the Tin Man, the Mother of Dragons, Bruce Wayne, Elphaba, and many others.
