This Fixed Term Contractor is responsible for managing the Namibian territory including Pharmacy Wholesale, Independent Pharmacy and Retail Pharmacy delivering on the financial sales cost objectives, maintaining a long term relationship with outlets and maximising sales opportunities within them.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Territory accountabilities:

  • Full accountability and management of assigned territory in Namibia
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales of the territory
  • Responsible for shelf health
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and PCH.
  • Preparation of business reviews for all customer
  • Prepare and deliver effective selling presentations for the Pharmacy Wholesalers and employ effective negotiating strategies
  • Playing an integral role in ensuring roll out of new product launches and ensuring product listing in all accounts.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecast (volume and value) for assigned territory and revise throughout the year.
  • Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with marketing to ensure growth attainment.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with Namibian Ph Wholesalers, Independent Pharmacies and retail pharmacies.

Performance Measures:

  • Delivers against Territory Portfolio plan objectives, contributing to total affiliate plan delivery.
  • Monthly PCH Management report on territory review and trend analysis
  • Ensuring adherence to Pfizer policy and compliance requirements in the execution of all tasks.

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Senior National Key Account Manager, South Africa.
  • Internal Interactions: Commercial Lead, Sales (Field Selling & Key Accounts), Marketing, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Logistics, Legal,
  • External Interactions: Key Account customers, DSV Distributor

RESOURCES MANAGED

  • Trade Marketing budget for assigned portfolio of Pharmacy Wholesalers

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).

  • Post graduate qualification in relevant field (degree, diploma or certificate)
  • Minimum of 2 years PSR sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years exposure servicing of Pharmacy Wholesalers as well as FMCG, OTC or Healthcare environment within Namibia
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients requirements
  • Sound negotiation skills to ensure business to business success and growth.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Hands on experience with MS Excel & data analytics, with a strong commercial acumen
  • Demonstrable experience in problem-solving and entrepreneurship
  • Strong influencing skills with an ability to interact effectively with senior leaders & cross functionally
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations, meeting facilitation, and one-on-one/small group
  • Track record of developing winning plans to deliver against set targets

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • P&L literacy
  • High level of IT literacy in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Based in Namibia
  • Travel required – within Namibia and surrounds.
  • Valid Passport for travel to South Africa for meetings.
