Job Title: Financial Literacy/Management Specialist

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Provide financial literacy/education and inclusion training for different community interest groups which will be organised into coalition groups under ROLL Project,
  • Train and capacitate the Field supervisors and field agents on CRS microfinance approach (SILC),
  • Work with the field SILC supervisors and Field agents to establish Private Service Providers who will support to sustain microfinance activities of the project beyond the life of the project, 
  • Develop financial management tools inline with CRS Microfinance model (SILC) to help the Microfinance groups to better manage their financial records and data,
  • Mobilise and sensitise community members to establish new microfinance teams where they are non-existent and revive those which already exist but not active,
  • Provide close technical support to active and already existing microfinance groups 
  • Prepare micro-finance status report on regular basis (Quarterly and Annually) focusing on saving, credit, livelihood linkages and institutional growth,

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s in business management, Economics BCom. Accounting or related field with 10 years’ experience in financial and management accounting, financial planning, financial analysis and reporting, payroll accounting, financial risk management and financial control.
  • In depth understanding of microfinance in the context of youth and women empowerment related initiatives,
  • Strong organizational/project coordination skills,
  • Good training and facilitation skills,
  • Sound knowledge of international microfinance good practices,
  • Experience of working with community, banking, and government sector for strengthening youth and women organizations,

Required Languages – Fluent in both Sesotho and English
