Financial Controller
Lesotho Flour Mills, a leading FMCG manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for a dynamic and pro-active individual to fill the position of Financial Controller. The incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Performance Areas / Expected Outputs
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Appointment as Company Secretary with the Lesotho Company Registry.
- Managing the Statutory Affairs of the Company, including Tax, Treasury and Compliance with Companies Act.
- In depth business analyses planning, preparation, review and presentations to the Executive team, as well as senior employees.
- Analysis of reports prepared by the various disciplines and to provide pro-active management information.
- Manage the tax, treasury, fixed assets, accounts payable, logistics, and procurement functions.
- Review of design, existence, implementation and effectiveness of policies, procedures and controls throughout the organization.
- Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and liaising with external auditors to conduct annual external audits.
- Implement control self-assessments.
- Financial budgeting, forecasting, financial planning.
- Leading in pricing and margin process.
Qualifications Required:
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
- 4–6 years’ experience with an Audit Company within Lesotho, or abroad.
- Finance professional experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- Exposure to Board of Directors and Board Committee meetings, minute taking and company secretarial duties.
- Computer Literacy – Proficient with financial systems & MS Office Suite.
