The Opportunity

TIB Insurance Brokers is seeking a Financial Assistant to join our Shared Services team.

This position supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including billing, credit control, payments, reconciliations and financial administration.

The role is suited to an organised and numerically strong individual with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and accountability, who is interested in developing their career in finance and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture financial information and prepare and issue invoices.
  • Manage credit control and assist clients with payment-related queries.
  • Process banking transactions, supplier and creditor payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations as required.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Finance and Shared Services team.
  • Ensure financial transactions and assigned tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in accounting.
  • 2 Years previous experience in a finance, billing, credit control or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Able to work with financial information, reconciliations and detailed records.

Advantageous

  • Experience with financial or accounting systems.
  • Previous experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience in billing, reconciliations, credit control or payment processing.
