Job Summary
The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of LEC’s accounting records and financial reports.
The role oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting functions, and plays a key role in the production of audited financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, Lesotho tax laws, and timely resolution of external audit findings.
Required Qualifications
- CA/ACCA/CIMA with 5 years of experience
OR - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 8 years of experience
Tasks
- Translate organisational strategy into financial accounting plans, budgets, and performance targets
- Prepare Departmental Business Plan & Budget in line with planning programme
- Ensure strong financial governance, adherence to policies, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Monitor collection performance and escalate significant overdue or high-risk balances
- Manage maintenance of staff loan accounts
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews
