Job Description:

Major Responsibilities

1. Partners mapping and pre-positioning for Development Planning Approach (DPA) expand Development Planning Approach (DPA) process

To facilitate the initial discussions with key community leaders, local churches, Community Based Organizations and local government representatives to briefly introduce World Vision.  

2. Root-cause analysis document  

To review existing literature and data available about the proposed area

3. Selection of the TPs expand to be implemented in the area and primarily focus areas  
To identify some of the key issues in child well-being and vulnerability in the area.  

4. Identification of the primary focus areas as guided by the sponsorship feasibility assessment

To identify some of the key characteristics of the local context in which the proposed programme will operate.    

5. Development of the AP expand plan

To facilitate key informant interviews to fill in the gaps not covered by information in the Landscape Assessment or other secondary sources.    

6.Stakeholder chats as well as establishment of the starter groups 

Conduct the stakeholder analysis with the assessment team.  

7. Sponsorship feasibility and risk management assessment reportTo liaise with Sponsorship and Safeguarding Work Unit to conduct a sponsorship feasibility and risk management assessment.    

8.Recommendations from the community and state holders Engagements to be documented  
To highlight issues that need further investigation during the programme design.  

9.Assessment report and sponsorship risk management analysis
To analyse data, then generate assessment report and sponsorship risk management analysis. 

10. Dissemination meetings with partners and World Vision key staff
To share the assessment findings with the partners and World Vision staff. 

Knowledge and Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences in Statistics, Demography or any relevant field;
  • At least three years’ experience in community development initiatives;
  • Proven experience in external engagement and local communities. 
  • Be culturally sensitive and have the ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds;
  • Must be able to make decisions and be willing to stay in field area;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities
  •    

Working Environment / Conditions:
 

– 80% field based

– 20 % office based

Remuneration: Competitive with market standards
