PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
To partner with and support management decision making through the provision of financial leadership and commercial competence. Accountable for the overall management of the Finance function for the country and assist the Country Director in developing financial business plan.
KEY RESULT AREAS AND OUTPUT
- Focusing on profitability, cost control and achievement against pre-set KPIs. Identify top line and margin enhancement opportunities within the MMB.
- Manage costs within the MMB (fixed and variable) and constantly identify possible cost saving opportunities (benchmark against other countries).
- Managing financial month end close process for MMB
- Work effectively with COF Finance departments, including Finance Development, Financial Service’s and Genpact to deliver enhanced value for the organization.
- Business partner with line to improve overall commercial acumen within the function.
- Managing capex budget and spend as well as fixed assets.
- Managing budget and forecast processes for the region and responsible for corporate governance and identifying risks, ensuring plans are in place to mitigate these risks and ensuring closure of all audit/risk/IFC findings. (Liaise with internal and external auditors).
- Effective Commercial decision making and course correction aligned to budget
- Compliance and governance maintained in region Effective management & reporting on variances/ discrepancies.
- Fixed costs management and savings thereof to ultimately achieve bottom line growth in the business.
- Cost saving opportunities utilised
- Improved profitability and performance against KPI’

- Forecasting and course correct against targets
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and year end financial closing and reporting requirements. (Including statutory requirements)
- Ensure accurate submission/completion of all financial information to both internal and external stakeholders. Support all engagements with external stakeholders on all key financial related matters.
- Lead, manage and motivate a finance team to deliver the finance agenda
- Support and enable in-country execution of all Africa zone finance/business initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bcomm Finance Hons or related Hons degree or desirable CA or LIMA or MBA.
Minimum of six years financial management or similar management experience at a senior level.
