About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to support APRI’s growing finance and operations team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role involves hands-on financial administration, project support, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time, remote position, with preference for candidates based in Abuja or elsewhere on the African continent. The role is ideal for someone with a few years of finance experience in an international or NGO context, who is looking to grow and deepen their skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration & Project Support

  • Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day financial operations
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of project budgets
  • Upload and process invoices and receipts using APRI’s accounting tools
  • Help allocate costs to correct budget lines and cost centers
  • Monitor project expenditures and flag inconsistencies for review

Coordination & Documentation

  • Liaise with project coordinators to collect financial information and documentation
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and donor documentation under the guidance of the Finance Manager
  • Ensure financial records are organized, accurate, and up to date

Collaboration & Tools

  • Work with APRI’s custom project management and accounting systems
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying areas of inefficiency
  • Collaborate closely with both finance and project teams across countries and time zones

Your Profile

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in finance/ accounting in a non-profit, international, or donor-funded context
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting tools
  • Good understanding of financial workflows, budgeting, and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a remote, multicultural team
  • Location: Based in Abuja or elsewhere in Africa
