LESOTHO CATHOLIC BISHOPS’ CONFERENCE (LCBC)

Position: Finance Manager

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Finance Manager within Lesotho Catholic Bishops’ Conference (LCBC). The position is for a period of three years and is renewable based on satisfactory performance.

Specific Duties:

• Heads the Finance Department of the LCBC

• Reviews the journals and financial reports of all LCBC Secretariat Departments

• Develops financial statements for the all LCBC Secretariat Departments

• Prepares the budget for the LCBC Admin Department

• Prepares for the audit of LCBC Secretariat Departments

• Reviews and updates the Finance Policy in line with emerging financial practices and trends

• Facilitates training of staff across the various departments on the Finance Policy

• Conducts spot checks to review compliance of the various departments to the LCBC Finance Policy

• Develops and updates management and control systems for all LCBC rented properties

Academic and Personal Credentials:

• Bachelors/Postgraduate degree in Accounting

• Experience in auditing will be an added advantage

• Prior experience in a similar position will be an added advantage.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work both as a leader and a motivating member of a team.

• Strong team building and human relations skills.

• Advanced computer skills.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license

• Results orientated and able to pay attention to detail.

• Ability to work under minimum supervision, under extreme pressure and tight timeframes.

• Good knowledge of and respect for the Catholic Church Structures and ethos
