Sefalana Trading Proprietary Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of:
‘FINANCE MANAGER’
Reporting directly to the Country Director, the placement will be at the Head Office in Maseru Lesotho.
Key Tasks including but not limited to:
- Periodical review and reporting of all financial accounting and control functions of the Company.
- Oversee end-to end finance Operations, Financial Planning & Variance Analysis.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Improvement of Procedures and Controls.
- Preparation and reporting on Management Accounts on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and reporting to the Board.
- Liaison with Internal Auditors, External Auditors, Banks, and Insurance companies.
- Ensuring sound internal controls within the Company.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts of the Company including cashflow forecasts.
- Day to day treasury management of the Company.
- Ensuring effective working capital Management.
- Renewal of Company insurance.
- Ensuring compliance with Income Tax Act, Companies Act and all applicable legislations.
- Frequent review of Business Intelligence systems for management reporting purposes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience, of which at least 3 years must have been served in a senior position or a Finance Manager / Head of Finance or similar.
- Experience within the FMCG sector and / or a publicly listed company will be an added advantage.
- Holding a professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and shall be a member of Lesotho Institute of Accountants.
- Sound knowledge on various Laws in Lesotho including Company Law, Income Tax Act, VAT Act and extensive knowledge in new Levy administration.
- Practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Experience in Auditing.
- Adequately computer literate and have detailed working expertise in the various software packages such as Arch, Pastel and Sage Evolution.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of CaseWare working papers will be an added advantage.
