Position: Finance Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day financial operations activities, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, procurement, asset management, payroll and audit coordination. The post holder must further provide technical interpretations, financial support and advice to corporate budget areas at all levels of the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Together with the CFO, oversees the implementation of financial policies of the company;
  • Prepares accurate and timely management accounts as well as financial statements;
  • Implements robust revenue collection processes and systems to ensure accurate and timely revenue reports by all collecting stations;
  • Prepares cash flow projections;
  • Collaborates the preparation of the company’s budget aligned to company strategic plans and ensures funds are spend in line with approved budget;
  • Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
  • Supervises the performance of subordinate staff ;
  • Liaises with other departments of the company in the implementation of company’s financial plans and activities and oversees compliance of such;
  • Provides necessary professional support to the management of the company.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Chartered Accountant plus a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a similar role;
  • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards;
  • Proven strategic planning experience at managerial level.

Alternatively

  • Accounting or Finance degree qualification plus 5 years of managerial experience in a similar role;
  • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards;
  • Proven strategic planning experience at managerial level.
