Position: Finance Manager
The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) was established by an Act of Parliament as a parastatal. The LNDC Act No. 20 of 1967, as amended by LNDC Act No. 13 of 1990 and LNDC Act No. 7 of 2000, mandates the Corporation to: “initiate, promote and facilitate the development of manufacturing and processing industries, mining and commerce in a manner calculated to raise the level of income and employment in Lesotho. The LNDC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Finance Manager (Paterson Grade D3).
PURPOSE
To manage the financial operations of the Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC), and optimise the financial performance of the Corporation, including its reporting, liquidity, and return on investment. To oversee the planning, directing and controlling of financial administration, business planning, and budgeting functions of the LNDC. To contribute to transparent reporting to the LNDC’s governance structures and assist the Corporation to comply with all statutory reporting obligations, applicable laws and international standards, as appropriate. Ensuring financial capability is effectively developed within Finance Corporate Services and aligned to the deliverables as required by LNDC Governance Structures.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting
Chartered Accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
8 – 10 years’ experience working in an accounting environment, of which 3 – 5 years’ is at management level.
\xtensive knowledge of Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
Candidates must be registered with The Lesotho Institute of Accountants
