JOB OVERVIEW
The Finance Manager leads day-to-day financial operations of the Company, with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, procurement, asset management, payroll and audit coordination. Responsibilities also include Safeguarding of the company’s assets, maintaining proper and adequate systems of internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Drive development of financial policies including investment and dividend policy and advise Management on the investment and dividend decisions and
Maintain the financial health of the organization.
Oversee the preparation of accurate management accounts
Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements
Develop and implement robust revenue collection process and systems to ensure accurate revenue reports are produced timorously by all collecting stations
Prepare cash flow projections.
Lead the preparation and consolidation of the company’s budget aligned to company strategic plans and ensure funds are spend in line with approved budget
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
Provide Strategic leadership to the finance staff
Liase with auditors to ensure smooth running of the audit.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Accountable for the organisation’s full financial management function
Oversee and monitor compliance, organisational risk, the annual audit, procurement and overall office management
Over time, build capacity and secure operational excellence working with strategic partners and funders.
Provide support to the Executive Management,
Build the capacity of finance staff in financial management and reporting and provide professional support to them including identification of development opportunities that strengthen the organization’s Finance systems and processes

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial role.
Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role with experience in financial management and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
Proven Strategic planning experience at managerial level
