Cape Mental Health is a non-profit organisation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Western Cape.
Cape Mental Health seeks to employ a dynamic, high energy, proactive, qualified and skilled finance manager with excellent people skills and problem solving abilities to be based in Cape Town.
Employment Type: Contract Post – 12 months
Manage the finance department
Manage cashflow & forecasts
Produce monthly management accounts
Complete financial statements, budgets and reports as required
Manage audit preparations
Complete the annual financial statements in a format which is ready for the audit
Co-ordinate & manage internal & external auditing processes
Manage the payroll and personnel deductions
Liaise and network with auditors, pension fund, funders, financial sector, etc.,
Regular consultation with managers who are responsible for projects and programmes and the fundraising department
Risk management, control & governance processes
A minimum of 5 years management experience
An accounting qualification – B.Comm or equivalent
A willingness to understand and work in the disability sector
Sound knowledge of the legal framework & financial standards/practices
Code 08 manual driver’s licence
Good financial leadership & supervisory skills
Ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent verbal & written skills
Excellent Computer knowledge & skills in: finance packages; Advance Excel; Sage Pastel Evolution; PowerPoint; ability to use and perform report writing using SQL and advance knowledge in Sage Evolution.
A working knowledge of IT systems and management.
