The Finance Officer works closely with the Finance Manager in preparing documentation for budget development & budget management processes and makes input in financial analysis and preparation of financial reports.
Roles and Responsibilities
Budget Development and Management
· Participates in development of annual budgets for ongoing awards.
· Participates in the long-term financial planning including scenario analysis.
· Perform and complete special projects and other financial duties as required by the Finance Manager.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Provides inputs in preparation of different Donor monthly and quarterly reports to meet different Donor reporting requirements.
· Provides inputs in preparing annual financial reports Participates in development of pipeline reports for assigned projects.
· Assist in collecting data to input into the assigned projects forecasting tools.
· Compiles data required for the annual Donor VAT reports.
· Conducts physical verification of all assets on the comprehensive office asset register in line with standard Donor/Foundation requirements.
Qualifications and experience:
· BA Economics/BCom Management
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
· Basic knowledge in Ms. Package
· Ability to perform strategic thinking in a dynamic environment
