1. JOB TITLE : Finance and Admin Manager
2. REPORT TO : Executive Director
3. JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Manager provides financial and accounting administration for the institution, organizes, directs and supervises the operation of the Accounts Department and its staff.
4 MAIN DUTIES
• Responsible for the financial planning and management of the LOIC financial resources.
• Ensuring compliance of the Institution’s financial activities with National and International
Financial Reporting Standards.
• Overseeing and managing the financial day to day operational aspects of the LOIC
• Responsible for the oversight and delivery of annual budgets.
• Working with departments to help them plan their budgets.
• Reporting on the financial performance of the LOIC internally and externally.
5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Strong understanding of accounting theory.
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
6. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management with 5+ years accounting/ finance experience in a senior position and a certificate in at least one of the Financial Management Packages e.g. PASTEL, ACCPAC.
Or
• A Chartered Accountant with 3 years accounting/finance experience in a senior position and a certificate in at least one of the Financial Management Packages e.g. PASTEL, ACCPAC.
