Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians and customers in the event of breakdown situations and assist with fault diagnosis to ensure the machinery is operating at its full potential.
The position will be based on all the Independent Account sites and the incumbent will report to the Sales and Services Manager

- Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians and customers in the event of breakdown situations and assist with fault diagnosis to ensure the machinery is operating at its full potential.
- Drive Komatsu Mining Corporation (KMC) vision and mission.
- Drive productivity improvement and quality performance.
- Drive machine flawless startup and capturing of information as well as to give feedback to the organization.
- Promote KMC through building customer relationships by providing superior and professional customer service and support.
- Drive trials, MCA’s and new product developments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must want to be involved in all issues on products responsible for, including operation and application.
- Must be a self-starter and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
- Team mentality – work within team towards common goals
- Willing and able to travel extensively
Education / Qualification
Minimum skills required
- N4 with fully Qualified Millwright/Electrician as well as Gas and Flame proofing certificates with underground experience in the
field service environment.
- Studying towards an applicable managerial/technical qualification is advantageous.
- A minimum of five years of practical mining experience is essential.
- Previous experience in a supervisor capacity is essential.
- A strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with maintenance and troubleshooting experience on heavy equipment and mining machinery is required.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Extensive knowledge of JNA II (RIO I and RIO II), AC Shuttle Car, Fletcher Roofbolters Joy/Stamler battery
- hauler and feeder breaker knowledge- new and older product range.
