Position: Field Officer
Location: Maseru
Job Purpose :
To deliver a specialty service to existing and potential Lihoai Consultancy clients in the targeted market, with the aim of optimizing the channeling of wool and general business via Lihoai Consultancy.
Requirements :
• Diploma/ Degree in Agriculture
• Proven experience in marketing and in the wool industry
• Valid driver’s licence
• Computer literacy
Key Performance Areas:
• Attend farmers days, farmers’ association meetings, relevant conferences/congresses/shows in the area.
• Provide advice to producers in order to improve the quality of wool.
• Maintain/increase Lihoai/BKB’s set market share in the area with respect to wool/mohair as well as other BKB business (trade, livestock etc.)
• To check whether wool is classed according to LNWMGA classing standards
• Ensure that shearing sheds are provided with wool bags and a clip worksheet.
• Function always within the guidelines and standards with respect to personal safety, the safety of others and a clean and hygienic work environment
• Study the client’s previous settlement statement, the previous season’s catalogue, and market trends in order to provide the client with accurate information and to add value
