Job Description

To ensure maximum efficient operation of facilities and equipment as well as the care of all buildings grounds and support equipment. To manage and oversee FNB Lesotho’s facilities management function for low complexity facilities (small, medium or large) and ensuring efficient operation of facilities, buildings, vehicle fleet and equipment.

  • Ensure that the organization has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.
  • Ensure occupational health and safety compliance, audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Develop and implement the banks end-to-end property strategy with regular reviews to suit the business needs
  • Ensure all premises meet regulatory & operational health and safety standards. Manage   utilities and equipment life cycle; ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
  • Involvement in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to building & premises.
  • Use best business practices to manage and reduce operational costs through prevention of wastage and identifying process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
  • Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or re- organizing current premises.
  • Coordinate and prepare new premises/branches for FNB Lesotho as per business requirements, investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises including negotiation of rentals to the best interest of the organization.
  • Manage all FNBL Lease Contract premises (Branches & Office space). Maintain good relations with different Landlords, Estate Property Agents, Vendors and Land & Municipal Offices.
  • Ensure that CCTVs and Alarms for all premises are installed and monitored accordingly as per Organization’s & CBL required standards.
  • Adhering to deadlines for infrastructure projects requirements assigned.
  • Stakeholders management i.e Couriers; Safes & Security Doors; Security; Hygiene; Fire protection; HVAC; Utilities; Engineers & Architects.
  • Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards.
  • Liaise with different stakeholders to ensure construction work is in line and done according to required standards.
  • Budgeting & Cost Management: contribute to the development of a budget aligned to operational delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
  • Manage & Control FNBL vehicle fleet.
  • Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence.
  • Manage and maintain the bank’s asset register to ensure it’s up to date.
