JOB ADVERT – External Examiner for CHAL NTI (x20)
Christian Health Association of Lesotho Nurses Training Institutions (CHAL NTI) is a coordinating office for education and training of the four nurses training institutions, namely Maluti Adventist College, Roma College of Nursing, Scott College of Nursing and Paray School of Nursing. The primary function of the office is to coordinate examination of these schools from registration of students to graduations. It is therefore the mandate of the office to recruit external examiners for moderation of examinations to ensure quality and consistency.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of External Examiners for Nursing and Midwifery Programmes at CHAL NTI. The examinations are written twice a year, (semesterly).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The External Examiners will be responsible for:
• Providing unbiased evaluation of the fairness and suitability of the student assessment process in line with the blueprint and the approved curriculum.
• Verifying that the student assessment methods are reliable, valid, and feasible and have educational impact.
• Moderating of 20% of the scripts per module.
• Writing a report detailing observations made, conclusions and recommendations to Examiner and CHAL-NTI.
• Ensuring security of examination papers.
• Adhere to CHA- NTI Examiners and Moderators Guidelines.
QUALIFICATION:
• Nurse Educator with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Education or equivalent, Master’s degree/Higher degree in Nursing Education is an added advantage.
• An Educator/Lecturer with an education qualification in the non-nursing module
• Should have at least two years’ experience as an Internal Examiner.
• Should be a specialist or an expert in that module or be currently teaching the module.
• Should have at least three years teaching experience or clinical instruction at a health-related institution/ nurses training institution.
• Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council/Nursing council of a respective country or any relevant regulatory body.
