About African Clean Energy
We are African Clean Energy. We are a rapidly growing B Corp enterprise focused on enabling decentralised access to clean energy for households in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. We are currently operating in Lesotho, Cambodia, Kenya and Uganda, with our flagship factory in Thetsane, Lesotho. Our mission is to eliminate the worst forms of poverty on a platform of clean energy and smartphone technology. We are best known for our ACE One: a solar-biomass hybrid cook stove that significantly reduces the need for cooking fuel, burns without smoke, and offers electricity for mobile charging and lighting.
Job Description
- Combine marketing, advertising, branding and sales skills to promote the company’s products and services.
- Developing highly effective marketing campaigns.
- Brilliantly targeting ideal customers in a timely fashion within budget.
- Closely monitoring and analyzing sales volumes, market trends and competition activity to effectively advise the commercial/sales manager.
- Have a total understanding of new marketing and communications practices being used and deploying those skills in the everyday execution of their duties.
- Provide marketing support to the ACE Maseru Football Club.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs, new product launches/introductions and other marketing projects
- Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media and events
- Supervise marketing team, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules and deadlines
- Establish and grow a target market share for ACE products and services
- Develop, manage and monitor marketing costs and budgets
- Develop sales forecasting and product branding plans
- Conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives
- Work with the new business development team and sales teams on brand initiatives.
- Manage the operations of the company’s website and social media accounts or email marketing program.

Experience and Competencies;
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing
The candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of;
- Digital marketing
- Thorough knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC)
- The importance of CI
- Creative and innovative thinking is key.
- Attention to detail and initiative
- Effective communication skills
Education requirements
- Any PR or Marketing qualification.
- Through knowledge of Digital Marketing will be an added advantage.
