TENDER TITLE:
PRIVATE VEHICLES SHORT‑TERM HIRE FOR BUREAU OF STATISTICS – POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUS 2026
1. Introduction
The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), through the Bureau of Statistics (BOS), has been allocated funds by the Government of Lesotho (GOL) for the implementation of the 2026 Population and Housing Census Project.
Part of the budget funds will be used for the Hire of 370 (three hundred and seventy) Pick‑Up Trucks for the 2026 census. The census aims to provide government and other stakeholders with accurate information on socio‑economic and demographic characteristics of the population, as well as housing characteristics.
2. Availability of Bidding Documents
A complete set of bidding documents in English will be available to interested bidders upon payment of a non‑refundable fee of LSL 1,000.00 (one thousand Maloti only).
Payment & Collection Process:
• Payment: 1st Floor, Office No. 262 – Accounts Office
• Collection: Planning Procurement Unit, Office No. 124
• Method: Cash only
• Clarification requests permitted until 16 February 2026, between 09:30 – 15:30
3. Submission of Bids
• Bids must be deposited on or before 17 February 2026 at 12:00 hrs
• Tender box located at: Government Complex Phase 2, Development Planning, 2nd Floor
• Late submissions will be rejected
Tender Opening:
• 17 February 2026 at 14:30 hours, in the presence of bidders or their representatives
Mandatory Vehicle Inspection:
• Scheduled for 10–13 March 2026
