1. SUN Joint Venture has been awarded a contract by Lesotho Highlands Water Project –Phase II, Contract LHDA No. 4020 for Construction of Polihali Dam and Appurtenant Works and it intends to apply Part of the proceeds of this contract to payments under the contract for:

2. The company’s annual turnover should exceed LSL 80Million.
3. The company is to provide own material and equipment.
3 Occupational Hygiene Service 1. Measure and assess the exposure or potential exposure of employees to the following stressors:
Noise;
Thermal Stress (heat and cold);
Airborne particulates (dust);
Silica / Quartz (free crystalline silica);
Gases and / or vapours;
Chemicals;
Ionising radiation;
Non-ionising radiation;
Vibration (hand / arm vibration and whole-body vibration);
Ergonomics;
Illumination.
2. Design and implement a monitoring and control plan for any significant occupational health and hygiene stressor identified i.e. significant stressor ≥1/10 or ≥10% of the occupational exposure limit (OEL) to determine the effectiveness of control measures as well as compliance with legal and other requirements, particularly OEL’s;
3. Carry out and document a Baseline Health and Hygiene Risk Assessment once the construction phase of the project has commenced;
4. Identify and prevent any carcinogenic (cancer-causing) ingredient intended for use on site;

2. The company’s annual turnover should exceed LSL 50Million.
4. Redrilling & Flushing of Exploratory Drill Holes 1.Develop drilling and cleaning plan.
2.Redrilling & Flushing of existing exploratory drill holes. 1. The general requirement of the company refers to Item4 below.
2. The company’s annual turnover should exceed LSL 50Million.
2. Interested Companies could submit complete set of Expression of Interest Documents in English in softcopy to the following email address：[email protected] with copy to [email protected]. The hardcopy should be delivered to SUN JV Polihali Dam site office (Contracts Department), Polihali Village Mokhotlong, LESOTHO.
3. The closing date for submission of proposals is on 11th December, 2023 clearly marked: “Expression of interest for Services to Phase II, Contract LHDA No. 4020 for Construction of Polihali Dam and Appurtenant, Sub-Contracted works”. The subcontractor should specify which subcontract work he is interested in (At most two items).
The submission must strictly be made between 9:00-10:00am on December 11th, 2023. Any proposals submitted before or after the specified date will not be considered.

4. SUN Joint Venture now invites Lesotho Nationals Enterprises and RSA Black-Owned Enterprise Companies to submit company profile for the above mentioned works to be Sub-Contracted to demonstrate the following:
“Lesotho National Enterprise” shall be any legal entity meeting the definition given in the LHWP Phase II Agreement of August 2011, Article 1, provided that for any entity registered after August 2011, more than 75% shareholding is by Lesotho Nationals.
“RSA Black-Owned Enterprises” shall be Black Owned Enterprises (BOEs) in terms of South African legislation (>50.1% Black ownership and substantial Black management).
“RSA Enterprises” shall be those residents, operating and managed in the Republic of South Africa, registered in South Africa in terms of the South African legislation and subjected to corporate income tax in South Africa; where ‘operating’ means carrying out work of a similar nature for a significant period with the last 10 years;

5. All interested Companies are advised to carefully read the requirements of the expression of interest and submit the Expression of Interest Documents (both softcopy and hardcopy) in time. The interested companies will get the tender document if your Expression of Interest Documents meet the requirement of SUN JV.
