The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, and regulated under the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.

The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of Executive Secretary.

Job Purpose

The incumbent provides executive, administrative, and development support to the CEO as well as the Executive Management. The Executive Secretary serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CEO. The Executive Secretary also serves as a liaison to the Management Teams; organizes and coordinates external relations efforts.

Qualifications, Working Experience and Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration/Management, Communications or Office Management.
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
• Three to five years’ experience in providing support to upper-level Management.
• Previous experience as a Secretary to Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of an organization will be an added advantage.

Remuneration
Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
