Executive Liaison Officer
The Examinations Council of Lesotho (ECoL) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified local candidates for the following position:
Position: Executive Liaison Officer
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Terms of Employment: Contractual
Remuneration: Paterson Grading Method
Job Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Liaison Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and executive support to the CEO, ensuring the efficient coordination of the CEO’s office, effective communication, and a professional interface with both internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communication, or a related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing support at Executive or Senior Management level.
OR - A Diploma in Secretarial Studies, plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing support at Executive or Senior Management level.
Additional Advantage:
- Experience in stakeholder management, corporate communication, or project coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Support and Coordination
- Manages day-to-day operations of the office of the CEO, ensuring smooth workflow and effective prioritisation of activities.
- Prepares, reviews and manages correspondence, briefing notes, reports, and presentations for the CEO.
- Coordinates the CEO’s schedule, meetings, workshops, official engagements, and travel logistics, ensuring optimal time management.
- Tracks follow-up actions and ensures decisions from executive meetings are implemented.
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Strategic Liaison and Communication
- Acts as the primary liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Drafts and reviews official communication, speeches, and statements on behalf of the CEO.
- Facilitates coordination between the CEO’s office and departments to support the implementation of corporate goals and initiatives.
Governance and Reporting
- Supports preparation and coordination of Board and Executive Committee meetings including agenda setting, documentation, and minutes.
- Monitors progress on strategic projects and compiles periodic executive reports and updates for the CEO.
- Maintains accurate records and archives for the office of the CEO.
Research and Advisory Support
- Conducts research and provides analytical support to inform executive decision-making.
- Reviews policies, correspondence, and proposals submitted to the CEO and provides recommendations or summaries where necessary.
