Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role of the EHOD External Affairs is to manage the overall company reputation and lead advocacy initiatives for the company. Establish strong industry networks, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by formulating and executing effective communication and media relations programs. Lead engagements with Government.  Shape regulation and legislation pro-actively and advise business on applicable regulations. Safeguard regulatory compliance and lead on stakeholder engagement with regulatory authorities to ensure the company maintains healthy relationships with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

* Define, lead and communicate the strategic vision and plan for maintaining a good company image.

•Maintain healthy relationship with all key local and international stakeholders, such as government, regulators and customers

•Establish and maintain an effective network and develop a contact/engagement plan to maintain strong and effective relationships

•Pro-actively engage on regulation and legislation formulation and advise business on applicable regulations safeguarding regulatory compliance.

•Lead and promote goodwill through community involvement and shape the market attitude toward our activities, products and service

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Law (LLM), with a major in corporate / business law and/or International relations.

The successful candidate should have at least 10 years’ experience managing relationships with senior Government and Regulatory officials in Lesotho with proven understanding of Government policy formulation and implementation.
