Vodacom Lesotho’s Legal and compliance team is a professional and approachable team that’s mainly focussing on managing the provision of timely, effective and high quality, professional legal services across a broad spectrum of legal issues such as in contracts, employment & labour matters, litigation , intellectual property and general legal advice to the company. 
The department is further responsible for ensuring that the company maintains a high standard of Ethics, particularly with respect to compliance with good governance, ethical and legal standards and requirements. 
Executive Head: Legal and Compliance reports directly to the Managing Director, and assists him in providing high quality legal and compliance support to the business on all legal and compliance aspects of its commercial operations. 
You Will Be Responsible For
Ensure timely availability of legal advice, guidance and support to line management pertaining to various business issues as and when required.
Ensure the existence of legal protection to the company in all dealings with contractors/suppliers or service providers.
Manage contracts drafting ,reviews and interpretation for the business.
Protection of company intellectual property
Litigation and Risk Management 
Ensure compliance with laws, codes of conduct, policies and procedures aimed at prevention of corruption, money laundering and the financing of terrorism (CMT.
Carry out Policy Compliance Reviews (PCR) and monitor implementation of resultant action plans by relevant business functions.
Carry out country and company CMT and Ethics risk assessments and formulating and implementing risk management strategies relating to Anti-CMT, Ethics & Compliance Program.

It Would Be Nice if You have
LLB or equivalent from a recognized University  
Masters Degree in Law(LLM) is an added advantage
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leading organization
Core Competencies
At least five years’ experience in commercial law at an executive level
Experience in telecommunication industry is an added advantage
Knowledge of legal concepts, techniques and principles
Reasonable level of computer literacy 
Excellent writing and communication skills, fluency in English 
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Admission as an attorney / advocate will be an added advantage
